I am an artist who uses photography to express himself. What interests me is that I can transform reality, that is, I can start with reality but change it or interpret it as I see it in my mind. My work, though, is subjective. I have a personal vision : what I imagine before I shoot. Good images do not come easily, they must be pursued,
hunted down, and caught before it’s too late. Before taking a photograph I must feel that something is there, that it has been given to me to seize and that I really must have it. That is why I am fascinated with the night,
because there is nothing there but essence : dark and light. Then I can take those images and rework them on computers until I am satisfied that my vision has been achieved.
Je suis un artiste qui utilise la photographie pour s'exprimer. Ce qui m'intéresse c’est que je peux transformer la réalité, c'est-à-dire je peux commencer par la réalité, mais la changer ou l'interpréter comme je la vois. Mon travail est subjectif. J'ai une vision personnelle. Les bonnes images ne viennent pas facilement, elles doivent être poursuivies, cherchées et saisies avant que ce ne soit trop tard. Avant la prise de vue je dois sentir que quelque chose est là, que ça m’est donné et que je dois le capter. C'est pourquoi je suis fasciné par la nuit, parce qu'il n'y a rien d’autre que l'essentiel : l’ombre et la lumière. Alors je peux prendre ces images et les retravailler sur ordinateur jusqu'à ce que je sois ainsi satisfait que ma vision ait été réalisée.
